Xbox 720 less inovation than Xbox 360

The Xbox 720 will not be as innovative as the Xbox 360, said the art director and animation Neil Thompson, from developer BioWare games. "The next generation [consoles] will have a big jump, but this trend is not obvious," said Neil who worked on successful franchises on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, as Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

For Thompson, the previous generation of consoles has caused a sense of improvement of up to 10 times in games. The Xbox 360 was released in 2005, four years after the original Xbox, and despite problems in hardware, showed a quality graphics in games than the Nintendo Wii.
The director of BioWare does not believe that you can make innovative games with 10 people in development teams. Another problem for the future of videogame Microsoft is its price. There are rumors that the Xbox 720 will cost between 350 and $ 400 at launch.
Even with the improvements envisaged in motion sensor Kinect, which practically allows people to play without a physical control, these releases may not attract the gamer guy by its high cost. And Neil Thompson believes that it is necessary "to sell 20 to 30 million copies of the game" to cause changes in the gaming industry.
The new Xbox console will be announced over 10 years after the launch of the first model in 2001. At the time, Bill Gates had just left Microsoft and went into his place Steve Ballmer. The Xbox was created with the team behind DirectX programming interfaces.
